FIDMARSEILLE / MONTEVIDEO Joint Event

Me, Myself and I – Exhibition from 9 to 11 January 2004
Videos, photographs and documentary filmEvent organised In collaboration with the Lambert Collection in Avignon, FIDMarseille International Documentary Festival and FRAC PACA (the regional contemporary art fund).
As part of this collaboration, a screening of “Get rid of Yourself” by the Bernadette Corporation collective – which was presented at FIDMarseille 2003 on the “Camera Nova” Parallel Screen. FIDMarseille will present other joint events in association with Montévidéo during the year.

FIDMarseille / Centre Social Julien / Vidéodrome Joint Event
The documentary film “Grand Littoral” by Valérie Jouve, winner of the Georges de Beauregard Prize and the Soundtrack Prize at FIDMarseille 2003, will be screened at 8pm on Wednesday 21 January 2004 in the Centre Social Julien.
Next screening: Wednesday 18 February 2004, 8pm.

“In Public” marks the transition from public to private. It holds them together in a de facto Utopian space, that is, stripped of any ideology.

“Tie Xi Qu” by Wang Bing has won the following prizes:

- The “Robert & Frances Flaherty” Grand Prix awarded by the International Competition Jury at Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival
- The Mongolfière d’Or prize at the Festival of the 3 Continents in Nantes

The Chinese film-maker Wang Bing is one of the six prize-winners selected for Cinéfondation at Cannes Film Festival by a jury chaired by Arnaud Desplechin. He will be in residence in Paris to work on writing his next full-length feature film.
