 The Press Conference for this year’s FIDLab will be held on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Région Provence – Alpes – Côte d’Azur stand at Cannes. The film projects selected for the 4th edition of the FIDLab will be presented.
    
 The Press Conference for the 23rd edition of the FIDMarseille will be held on May 31, 2012 on the FID premises in Marseille. The 2012 Official Selection and Parallel Screens will be presented at this time.
    
    FLUX DE MARSEILLE
Now in its third year, the FLUX pass enables visitors to discover six different festivals in Marseille from May to July 2012 for the special rate of 45 €. Music, Dance, and Film, 6 evenings proposed by the 6 festivals:

- le Festival les Musiques
- le Festival de Marseille / FDAmM
- le FIDMarseille / Festival International de Cinéma
- le Festival Mimi
- le Festival Jazz des Cinq Continents

The pass is non-nominal and gives access to one event in each festival. It will be sold at each festival, Espaceculture_Marseille and at WAAW. For tickets, which are subject to availability, the pass should be presented at the box office of each festival.

    MATAMOROS by Edgardo Aragón, in International Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2010, is programmed by the Musée d’Art moderne de la Ville de Paris, in ARC, in the exhibition “Resisting the Present. Mexico 2000/2012,” from March 9 – July 8, 2012.
       
    RESONATING SURFACES by Manon de Boer, winner of the Marseille Espérance Prize, in Competition, screened in its international premiere at FID 2006, is being screened at the Fundación Centro Ecuatoriano de Arte Contemporáneo, in Quito (Ecuador), from March 14 - May 13, 2012.
       
      TWO TIMES 4’33” (segment of LE TEMPS QUI RESTE (ETUDES MUSICALES)) by Manon de Boer, in International Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2008, is screened at the Museum of Art, in Knoxville, Tennessee (U.S.A.), from March 16 - May 20, 2012.
       
    HISTOIRE RACONTÉE PAR JEAN DOUGNACby Noëlle Pujol, winner of the GNCR Prize, in French Competition Française, screened in its world premiere at FID 2010, is being screened in the exhibition Autobiographies, in the Espace Culturel Louis Vuitton, in Paris, from March 23 - May 20, 2012.
       
   ENTRÉE DU PERSONNEL by Manuela Fresil, Grand Prix of the French Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2011, is programmed in the Festival du Film Documentaire Millenium, in Brussels from April 17 - May 5, 2012, in the DOXA Festival, in Vancouver (Canada), from May 4 – 13, 2012 and in the Festival de Lasalle, from May 16 - 19 mai 2012.
    
   CHAMPION, DANS LES COULISSES DE LA SALLE DE BOXE by Caroline Van Kerckhoven, presented in the Vidéothèque Bis at FID 2011, is programmed in the Festival du Film Documentaire Millenium, in Brussels (Belgium) from April 17 - May 5, 2012 . The film is also selected in the Docville, in Leuven (Belgium), from April 25 - May 5, 2012.
       
     L’ANABASE DE MAY ET FUSAKO SHIGENOBU, MASAO ADACHI ET 27 ANNÉES SANS IMAGES by Eric Baudelaire, in French Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2011, is selected in the San Francisco International Film Festival (U.S.A.), from April 19 - May 3, 2012 . The film will also be screened in the series “Migrating Forms” at Anthology Film Archives, (U.S.A) on May 11, 2012 and at the Palais de Tokyo, in Paris, as part of the La Triennale / Intense Proximity, from May 2 - August 26, 2012, in Gaswork, in Londres (U.K.), from May 11 - July 22, 2012, in the Haus der Kulturen der Welt, in Berlin (Germany), as part of the Berlin Documentary Forum 2, from May 31 - June 3, 2012.
       
   

SPECTRES by Sven Augustijnen, Special Mention for the Grand Prix for the International Competition, Winner of the Public Libraries Prize, the GNCR Prize, and screened in its international premiere at FID 2011, has been selected in the Docville Festival, in Louvain (Belgium), from April 25 - May 5, 2012, at Indielisboa, in Lisbon (Portugal), from April 26 - May 9, 2012 and at Documenta Madrid (Spain), from May 4 - 13, 2012.


    
    BIELUTIN, DANS LE JARDIN DU TEMPS by Clément Cogitore, produced by Seppia, selected as a film project in development at FIDLab 2010 and winner of the Planet Rouge Prize, has been selected in the Indielisboa, Festival, in Lisbon (Portugal), from April 26 - May 9, 2012. The film was broadcast on ARTE on Monday, May 7 at 11:35 p.m. in the "La Lucarne." It is currently available on the Arte website from May 7 – 14 on Arte+7.
       
 
 

IL SE PEUT QUE LA BEAUTÉ AIT RENFORCÉ NOTRE RÉSOLUTION - MASAO ADACHI by Philippe Grandrieux, in International Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2011, is selected at the Indielisboa, Festival in Lisbon (Portugal), from April 26 - May 9, 2012 and in La Cineteca Nuevo León,in Monterrey (Mexico), as part of a collaboration with FICUNAM, from May 2 – 6, 2012.

    
      LES TROIS DISPARITIONS DE SOAD HOSNI by Rania Stephan, in International Competition, Winner of the Renaud Victor Prize, screened in its world premiere at FID 2011, is selected at the Indielisboa, Festival in Lisbon (Portugal), from April 26 - May 9, 2012. The film is also being screened as part of “Scrapbook: Un mois de cinéma libanais” at the Metropolis Cinema in Beirut (Lebanon) from May 3 – June 3, 2012, in the Cornerhouse Gallery in Manchester (U.K.), in the series “Contemporary Arab and Lebanese Cinema” on May 10, 2012 at 6:30 p.m. and at The EYE Insitut, in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), from May 31 - June 6, 2012.



       
     THE UNSTABLE OBJECT by Daniel Eisenberg, winner of the Georges de Beauregard International Prize, screened in its world premiere at FID 2011, was shown at the Gene Siskel Film Center, in Chicago (U.S.A.), on May 1, 2012.

 QU’ILS REPOSENT EN RÉVOLTE (DES FIGURES DE GUERRES) by Sylvain George, in International Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2010, is programmed at La Cineteca Nuevo León, in Monterrey (Mexico), as part of a collaboration with FICUNAM, from May 2 – 6, 2012. It will also be shown at Anthology Film Archives, in New York (U.S.A.) in the series, Migrating Forms, on May 17, 2012 and at the EDOC 2012 - Festival International du Cinéma Documentaire, in the series “Image-Action.    LES LARMES by Laurent Larivière, presented in its world premiere in the Parallel Screen “From the curtain to the screen” at FID 2010, was broadcast on Monday, May 7, at 12:15 a.m. on France 2, in "Histoires courtes".
    
    LA VIE EST AILLEURS by Elsa Quinette, winner of the Georges de Beauregard National Prize, screened in its world premiere at FID 2011, has been selected in the Festival International du Court-Métrage de Busan (South Korea), from 10 May 10 – 14, 2012 and at EDOC 2012 - Festival International du Cinéma Documentaire, in Quito and Guayaquil (Ecuador), from May 17 - June 6, 2012.
The film is also being shown in Gaillac, as part of “Mardis Documentaires,” organized by the Hamac Rouge, on May 22, 2012.
    
   ECHANGERIEZ-VOUS VOTRE VOITURE CONTRE DEUX TRABANT ? by Patrick Viret, presented in the Vidéothèque Bis at FID 2011, will be screened at the Le Studio, cinema, in Le Havre, on May 11, 2012, with the director onhand.
