2012 first film competition

OFFICIAL SELECTION
The FID has been hosting a First Film Competition for a very long time. In 2001, it was decided that it first films were to be defended, it shouldn’t be a sub-category. Relegating them together meant that they were excluded from the rest of the competition, and it casts doubt on their quality. Thus, for almost ten years, just like for the Caméra d’Or in Cannes, potential laureates in this category have joined the International Competition, the French Competition or the Parallel Screens.
