Sandra Lang (Switzerland) and Ana Bigotte Vieira (Portugal) are the initiators of the journal project, Jogos Sem Fronteiras (Games without Borders) (JFS.) The journal, Jogos Sem Fronteiras #1 (JSF#1), first appeared in 2007, in Portuguese, with a focus on the theme “European Camps,” dealing with migration on the South-North axis and the construction of an European identity based on the construction of an “Other,” which is founded on the materialization of mechanisms of exclusion represented by the Schengen agreements. Today, 7 years after the publication of
JSF#1, we have evolved towards a profound crisis of representative democracy and new frontiers are born from within Europe and even within the interior of European states.

BAB SEBTA was presented in Jogos Sem Fronteiras #1.
The film was awarded the Marseille Espérance Prize, during the 2008 edition of FIDMarseille.
Free admission. Reservations recommended. Drinks included.

FIDMarseille is happy to propose as part of its VideoFID soirées, on Tuesday, October 15 at 8 p.m., on its premises, a screening of the LA BUISSONNIÈRE by Jean-Baptiste Alazard, winner of the Georges de Beauregard National Prize, selected in French Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2013. The director will be onhand.

http://www.fidmarseille.org/newsletter/LaBuissoniere.jpg Two young men criss-cross the French countryside in a car during the summer. In search of an ideal, they take us here and there (a poppy field at night, a boozy village party, a pizza van, a beach, a family meal, and so on) without describing a defined geography, and without constructing a semblance of certainty. In fact they are a pretext for Jean-Baptiste Alazard’s camera, in this first virtuoso feature, to also take the path of the école buissonnière of the cinema. These students of outdoor life become the motive and cause of a journey that is primarily an exploration of the possibilities of the production of images when freed from narrative imperatives, psychological punishments and the constraints of location finding. Here, the thirst for filming is evident, and for getting on, taking advantage of light and shade, lines suggested by everything in sight.
