Born in 1964, Valérie Jouve studied anthropology. She is now renowned as a photographer and director. Her pictures, focused on human being in the city belong to the fields of anthropology, sociology, the representation of the contemporary world. She figures out our society and its daily theatrical aspects. Her film Grand Littoral won the Georges de Beauregard International prize and Time is working around Rotterdam has his world premiere at FIDMarseille and competed in the international competition in 2006. In 2013, Traversée had its world premiere at FIDMarseille in the parallel screen “Descriptions de descriptions”.
