We are happy to inform you that Tan Chui Mui, whose film LOVE CONQUERS ALL was shown as French Premiere in International Competition at FID 2007, won Grand Prize at Clermont Ferrand Short Film Festival with her short film "Everyday Everyday". It will be screened on February 14 and 15, 2009 at the "Forum des Images" in Paris.

   RESONATING SURFACES by Manon de Boer, Winner of the Marseille Espérance Prize, screened in its international première at FID 2006, was programmed at the  Nam June Paik Festival in Seoul (South Korea), from October 8 – February 5, 2009.

  RueSantaFe.jpg RUE SANTA FE by Carmen Castillo, in International Competition at FID 2007, was broadcast on ARTE on February 7, 2009. The film is programmed in the Festival “Images Mouvementées” of ATTAC Pays d'Arles, at the Le Méjean theatre.
    
   BY THE WAYS (A JOURNEY WITH WILLIAM EGGLESTON)  by Vincent Gérard and Cédric Laty, Winner of the Georges de Beauregard National Prize, screened in its world première at FID 2005, was screened at the auditorium du Louvres on February 7, 2009 at 3:30 p.m. (with the directors), as part of in the programme of award-winning films from the Festival International du Film sur l'Art of  Montréal 2008. It will also screen at the Palais des Beaux Arts de Bruxelles on February 17, 2009 at 8:15 p.m. The directors will lecture after the screening.

THE JOURNALS OF KNUD RASMUSSEN by Zacharias Kunuk and Norman Cohn, in International Competition at FID 2007, is screened in partnership with the Bibliothèque Départementale de Prêt  des Bouches-du-Rhône , on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 6:30 p.m.

The screening will be introduced by  Nicolas Féodoroff.

Are screened during the “Soirée Flare#5 Festival invite: FIDMarseille,”  February 24, 2009 at 6:30 p.m. at the Auditorium of the Musée Fabre of Montpellier (free entrance). The screening will be followed by a discussion with Jean-Pierre Rehm.
These evenings are organized by Languedoc-Roussillon Cinéma in collaboration with the Musée Fabre and the Ecole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Montpellier Agglomération.

   The Call for Projects for the first edition of the professional platform of FIDMarseille, FIDLab is also open. The FIDLab intends to help jump-start the production of fragile and unusual works by making it possible to benefit from the festival, an intense time for meetings and discovering artistic affinities, to multiply networking and co-productions.

   FIDMarseille has opened registration for its 20th anniversary edition, which will take place in early July 2009. We remind you that the festival’s programming welcomes films of all formats and media, as well as all styles including documentary and fiction.

   Dox Box, Festival International de Films Documentaires in Damas (Syria), is organizing for its 2009 edition, from March 4 –15, 2009, a workshop entitled
“Writing the documentary,” open to all directors of the Arab World  who have a documentary film in development, production, or post-production.

 Arusha.jpg FIDMarseille is happy to propose within the VideoFID evenings the screening of the film D'ARUSHA A ARUSHA by Christophe Gargot, Winner of the Georges de Beauregard National Prize, recipient of a grant from the Fondation Ecureuil, screened in its world première at FID 2008, on Tuesday, February 17, 2009 at 8 p.m. on the FID premises. The director will present the film.
Tickets are 3 €. Reservations are recommended.  Drinks are included.

The film will also be screened on January 18, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. at Cinéma Lumière de La Ciotat ; the director will be on hand.
