FIDMARSEILLE 2008
PARALLEL SCREENS

LES SENTIERS

For the third year running, the FIDMarseille has invited Fotokino to devise a programme for everyone to enjoy, accessible to all – from 6 up.
Like other entertainment venues, Les Sentiers brings together adults and children who wish to discover and understand the “real”. As well as a broad range of screenings in a variety of cinematographic languages, you will see sensitive extraordinary work whose imagination and conception each appeal to us all. Documentaries, artists’ films, essays, fiction, films from home and abroad, rare or never before shown, will open even the youngest eyes to a cinema that has no boundaries and brings a multitude of cultures and modes of expression to life.
From the snowy landscapes of Grass, A Nation’s Battle for Life to the terrifying backstreets of Zeestan, via the door of Cassis, or along the muddy paths of Flower in the Pocket, Les Sentiers explores the diversity of cinematography and invites us to see the world through the eyes of childhood.

Nathalie Guimard and Vincent Tuset-Anrès, Artistic directors of Fotokino
Fotokino proposes exhibitions, screenings, workshops and meetings throughout the year connected to the audiovisual arts world, as well as the Laterna Magica event that takes place every December in Marseille.
