 Les dormeurs LES DORMEURS by Louidgi Beltrame, shown in its world première at FID 2006, is included in the exhibition at the Galerie Jousse Entreprise in Paris from January 17 – March 7, 2009.
    
   SYLVIA KRISTEL - PARIS by Manon de Boer, winner of the International Prize Georges de Beauregard and screened as a world premiere at FID 2004,will be screened as part of the exhibition "The Immediate Future", January 31 - March 29 by the Lund Konsthall of Lund (Sweden).
    
   RESONATING SURFACES by Manon de Boer, winner of the Marseille Espérance Prize, which had its international première at FID 2006, will be screened as part of the exhibition "The Immediate Future", January 31 - March 29 by the Lund Konsthall of Lund (Sweden). The film is also programmed by Pallas Contemporary Projects in  Dublin, March 20 - April 03, 2009.

    The FICCO in Mexico City, from February 17 – March 1, 2009 screened the following films :

by Dariusz Kowalski, in International Competition, Special Mention for the First Prize, screened in its international première at FID 2008,
FLOWER IN THE POCKET
by Liew Seng Tat, selected in the Parallel Screen “Les Sentiers” at FID 2008.
    
   NOS LIEUX INTERDITS  by Leila Kilani, in International Competition, screened at FID 2008, is programmed at FICCO  in Mexico City, from February 17 – March 1, 2009.
The film has also been selected fo FESPACO (Festival Panafricain du Cinéma et de la Télévision) of Ouagadougou (Burkina Faso), from February 28 – March 7, 2009.

MIRAGES  by Olivier Dury, winner of the First Prize, shown in its world première at FID 2008,
PROFIT MOTIVE AND THE WHISPERING WIND by John Gianvito, in International Competition, screened in international première at FID 2007,
LA MORT DU JEUNE AVIATEUR ANGLAIS S by Benoît Jacquot, presented in the Parallel Screen,  “Écrivains à l’écran " at FID 2003.
    
 Prvi Deo PRVI DEO by Florence Lazar and Raphaël Grisey, in French Competition, screened in its world première at FID 2006, is screened on March 10, 2009 at 8:30 p.m. at the Cosmos cinema, at Chelles, free admission. This screening is part of Raphaël Grisey’s exhibition “Coopérative,” in Les églises, the contemporary art center in Chelles, from December 13, 2008 – March, 15, 2009.

 MAFROUZA.jpg MAFROUZA OH LA NUIT ! by Emmanuelle Demoris, in French Competition, screened in its world première at FID 2007, is programmed on March 19, 2009 at the Festival International Jean Rouch - Bilan du film ethnographique which will take place from Saturday March 14 – March 22, 2009 at the Musée de l’Homme in Paris.

   FIDMarseille has opened its registration for its 20th edition that will take place in early July 2009. We would like to remind you that the festival’s programming welcomes films of all formats, in all media, and of all varieties (documentary as well as fiction). For more information, please consult our website and register your film online.

JORIS IVENS RETROSPECTIVE at the CINEMATHEQUE FRANÇAISE
 from March 5th to April 5th.

Joris Ivens was a politically committed filmmaker and an inspired poet. The programme states again the importance of Joris Ivens’ look on the twentieth century, its injustices, its struggles, its failures, but also its hopes, achievements and moments of happiness.

Please note that a forum « Joris Ivens, a history of wind » will take place on Sunday March 15th at 4.00pm :
Participants : Marceline Loridan Ivens, Jean-Pierre Sergent, Adrienne Fréjacques, André Stufkens et Claude Brunel.

Presented at FID 2004 in the Parallel Screen “Fait divers,” program proposed by Philippe Grandrieux, Françoise Tourmen, Christian Argentino

Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 9 p.m. on the FIDMarseille premises, with the director present.
PAF 3 €. Reservations are recommended, drinks are included.
A program in collaboration with the Les Variétés cinema et Ecole Supérieure de Beaux Arts in Marseilles.



PREVIEW SCREENINGS
UN LAC by Philippe Grandrieux will be presented in special screenings with the director present:
- at the Cinéma Lumière of La Ciotat, on March 11, 2009,
- at the cinéma Les Variétés in Marseille, on March 12, 2009.

The exhibition “de l’oubli” by Fabrice Lauterjung, from February 20 – March 14, 2009 in the gallery “rue Montgrand,”
The screening – round table “de l’oubli,” on Tuesday, March 10, 2009 at 6 p.m. in the conference room of the BMVR L’Alcazar (free admission). The special preview screening of the film  made by Fabrice Lauterjung during his residency at ESBAM will be followed by a round-table discussion with  Germain Viatte, Piotr Klemensiewicz, Nicolas Feodoroff and Fabrice Lauterjung.
