   THE CONFESSIONS OF ROEE ROSEN by Roee Rosen, special mention for the Georges de Beauregard International Prize at FID 2008, is screened as part of the Manifesta 7, the European Biennial of Contemporary Art at Palazzo delle Poste in Trento (Italy) from July 19 – November 2. It is also selected at the Festival Internacional de Cine Mar del Plata (Argentina, Novembre 6-16) and at CPH:DOX (Copenhagen, November 7-16). It will be also screened by imagepassages at the Espace 60 Bonlieu November the 25th.
    
   RESONATING SURFACES by Manon de Boer, winner of the Marseille Espérance Prize at FID 2006, will be screened in the Nicolaj Copenhagen Contemporary Art Center of Copenhagen as part of the U-Turn Quadrennial for Contemporary Art from September 5 – November 9.
The film is also programmed in the Nam June Paik Festival in Seoul, from October 8, 2008 – February 5, 2009. It is being screened at The Power Plant as part of the “Collective Learning,” from October 20 – November 20, 2008.


    
   PRESTO - PERFECT SOUND by Manon de Boer, presented at FID 2007 in the Parallel Screen “Presto!” is programmed at the Museum of Art of Seoul by the Turn and Widen, International Media Art Biennale from September 12 – November 5, 2008.
    
   

EL-BANATE DOL (CES FILLES-LA) by Tahani Rached, presented at FID 2007 in the Parallel Screen “Filmer, dit-elle”, is programmed by CMCA, partner of the Rencontres d'Averroès in Marseille, within a program « La Méditerranée en 36 documentaires ». (from October the 16th to November the 8th).


    
 

 VHS KAHLOUCHA by Nejib Belkadhi, winner of the Public Library Prize and selected as an international premiere at FID 2006, is programmed by CMCA , partner of the Rencontres d'Averroès in Marseille, within a program « La Méditerranée en 36 documentaires ». (from October the 16th to November the 8th).
It is also screened in Parisot (Tarn et Garonne, France) by the Hivernales du documentaire, from November the 15th to February the 28th.


    
   BRASILIA / CHANDIGARH by Louidgi Beltrame, presented at FID 2008 within the Parallel Screen “Traduire l'Europe", is programmed during the special focus "Louidgi Beltrame", at Musée d'Art Moderne et Contemporain de Strasbourg from October the 17th to January the 4th.
The film is also presented at the Galerie Jousse Entreprise, in Paris, from November the 15th to January the 10th.


    
   SYLVIA KRISTEL - PARIS by Manon de Boer, winner of the International Prize Georges de Beauregard and screened as a world premiere at FID 2004, is screened at The Power Plant in Toronto (Canada) as part of the « Collective Learning » exhibition, from October the 20th to November the 20th.

are programmed at the Ecrans Documentaires (France October 28 - November 2),
ACCOSTER has been awarded the Grand Prize ex-aequo of the feature film competition.
    
   LETTRE A LA PRISON by Marc Scialom, programmed as a special screening and winner of a Special Mention by the GNCR jury at FID 2008, is programmed at the Ecrans Documentaires (France October 28 - November 2), and at the Festival Internacional de Cine Mar del Plata (Argentina, Novembre 6-16). It is also programmed by aflam in partnership with the Algerian association « Chrysalide » at the ABC theater in Alger, November the 14th.
    
   VIA DE ACESSO by Nathalie Mansoux, selected in the French Competition as an International Premiere at FID 2008, is programmed at the Ecrans Documentaires (France October 28 - November 2), and at CPH:DOX (Copenhagen, November 7-16).
    
 
 BAB SEBTA by Pedro Pinho and Frederico Lobo, selected in the International Competition as a World Premiere and winner of the Prize Marseille Espérance, is programmed at the Ecrans Documentaires d’Arcueil (France October 28 - November 2). It is also selected in the Festival Internacional de Cine Mar del Plata (Argentina, Novembre 6-16), at CPH:DOX (Copenhagen, November 7-16), and at the Filmer à tout prix festival (Bruxelles, November 17-30).
The film is also screened by the Bibliothèque de Documentation Internationale Contemporaine festival (Bruxelles, November 17-30).
The film is also screened by the Rendez-vous Mensuel du Cinéma Lusophone (The monthly gathering of Portuguese cinema), November the 14th at the Studio des Ursulines Theater, in presence of Pedro Pinho.
    
   MIRAGES by Olivier Dury, winner of the First Film Prize and presented in the Parallel Screen “Translating Europe” as a World Premiere at FID 2008, is programmed at the Ecrans Documentaires (France October 28 - November 2), at the Escales documentaires de la Rochelle (France, November 7-11), at the Film court (Short film festival) in Villeurbanne (November 14-23), at the Filmer à tout prix festival (Bruxelles, November 17-30), at the festival Traces de vies (Clermont-Ferrand, France, November 24-30) and at the Filmmaker Film festival in Milano (Italy), November the 29th.
    
   

MAFROUZA OH LA NUIT ! by Emmanuelle Demoris, selected in the French Competition as a World Premiere at FID 2007, is programmed at the Festival du Monde Arabe of Montreal (Canada , October the 29th to November the 8th).

   RUE SANTA FE by Carmen Castillo, selected in the International Competition at FID 2007, is programmed at the Festival international du Cinéma des peuples « ânûû-rû âboro », l’ombre de l’homme in Pwêêdi Wiimîâ (Poindimié) (Nouvelle-Calédonie November 2-9), and at the International Latino Film Festival San Francisco Bay Area (November 7-23)

    
   LE TEMPS DES AMOUREUSES by Henri-François Imbert, selected in the French Competition as a World Premiere at FID 2008, is programmed within a special event about Jean Eustache and Henri-François Imbert : Le temps des amoureuses ou la rencontre de deux cinéastes narbonnais, Jean Eustache et Henri-François Imbert, in Narbonne (France) November the 5th to the 29th. It is also selected at the Festival Entrevues - Belfort 2008 (France, November 22-30).
    
   MILESTONES by Robert Kramer and John Douglas, presented within a Robert Kramer retrospective at FID 2008, is programmed at the Varietes Theater in Marseille November the 5th to the 19th, and within the program « L'appel de la fiction » at the Filmer à tout prix 2008 festival in Brusells (November 17-30).
    
   NOS LIEUX INTERDITS by Leila Kilani, selected in the International Competition as a World Premiere at FID 2008, is programmed at the Festival des Cinémas d'Afrique du Pays d'Apt, (November 6-11), at the Festival International du Film d'Amiens (November 7-16), and at the Festival des 3 Continents in Nantes (November the 25th to December the 2nd).
    
   THE GIRL WITH X-RAY EYES by Phillip Warnell, selected in the International Competition as a World Premiere at FID 2008 is screened at the UCLA (University of California- Los Angeles) during the «Body Art Disease: Corruptions and Mutations» event, November the 6th to the 8th. It is also selected at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (November 20-30).

   Jordi Colomer, the artist whose works were used for the visuals in the FID 2006 and 2007, has a one-person show at the Galerie Nationale du Jeu de Paume in Paris, which runs from October 21, 2008 – January 4, 2009.
    
   The 6th Festival des Cinémas d’Afrique du pays d’Apt (France) is to be held from November the 6th to the 11th, 2008.
    
   For 9 years, Images en Bibliothèques is coordinating Le Mois du Film Documentaire (The month of documentary films) in November, screenings and events about documentary films in all France public libraries and French cultural institutes abroad. Two web sites to find out screenings of films selected by FIDMarseille.

As part of the VidéoFID evenings, FIDMarseille is pleased to screen, in partnership with extérieur nuit, as part of « Tout Jacques Rozier ; 2ème partie - Le présent lui appartient », (Marseille, november 21-29), films for television by Jacques Rozier, Tuesday, November 21, 2008 at 8 p.m.

The public will be invited to debate with Michèle Berson and Nicolas Feodoroff.
3 € entrance fee. Reservations are recommended, drinks are included.
