   Two Times 4’33” (parts of LE TEMPS QUI RESTE (ETUDES MUSICALES)) by Manon de Boer, in International Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 200!, is programmed from February 25 – June 5, 2011 at MASIN - - Museo de Arte de Sinaloa, in Sinaloa (Mexico) and in the Loop festival, in the 2nd Session of the series, “First Screen,” in Barcelona (Spain), on May 2, 2011. The director will be on hand.
    
   NOSTALGIE DE LA LUMIÈRE by Patricio Guzmán, presented out of competition at FID 2010, is programmed in the San Francisco International Film Festival U.S.), from April 21 - May 5, 2011, in the Festival Docville, from April 29 - May 7, 2011, in Louvain (Belgium) and in the Internationale Film Festival of Innsbruck (Austria), from May 31- June 5, 2011. The film is also programmed at EDOC 10 in Quito and several cities of d’Ecuador from May 12 - June 12, 2011.
    
 
 JULIEN by Gaël Lépingle, Grand Prix of the French Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2010, is programmed at Noucinemart, Festival international du cinéma d'auteur in Barcelona (Spain), from April 28 – May 5.
The film is also programmed in the Documenta, in Madrid (Spain), from May 6 – 15, 2011 and in the Festival de cinéma du réel, as part of “Tournez Manège! (La mise en scène de la rencontre),” at 102, rue d'Alembert, in Grenoble, from May 24 – 27, 2011.

 BLUE MERIDIAN by Sofie Benoot, produced by Auguste Orts, selected a film project in development in the 2009 FIDLab is programmed in the Festival Docville, from April 29 – May 7, 2011, in Louvain (Belgium), on May 4, 2011 at KASKcinema,, in Ghent (Belgium), May 5, 2011 at the Cinema Nova, in Brussels (Belgium), and on May 12, 2011 at kc Nona in Mechelen (Belgium).

    HISTOIRE RACONTÉE PAR JEAN DOUGNAC by Noëlle Pujol, winner of the GNCR Prize, in French Competition, screened in its world premiere at FID 2010, is selected in IndieLisboa in Lisbon (Portugal), from May 5 – 15, 2011.
The film was also screened on Thursday, May 4, 2011 at 9 p.m. in the festival "Miroirs du cinéma – des films et des arts" at the Cinéma Le Clap in Bollène.

 Registration for projects for the 2011 FIDLab is now closed. We would like to thank all the 320 entrants, coming from 55 different countries, for submitting their projects to our selection committee.

The selection of this year’s project will be announced on May 16, 2011 at 12:00 noon, during the FIDLab Press Conference that will take place at Cannes, at the stand for the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur Region, in the International Village.

As part of the collaboration initiated this year with BAL, professional platform of support for the co-production of BAFICI, in Buenos Aires (Argentina), we are pleased to announce the selection of the Argentine project, winner of the FIDLab Prize at BAL 2011:

LA GUERRA SUBMARINA by the filmmaker Alejo Moguillansky, produced by Ivan Granovsky of the company, El Pampero Cine.
    
    We are glad to announce that Sublimage, subtitling company, joins the FIDLab third edition as new partner and will endow the subtitling of the film winner of the Sublimages award in FIDLab 2011.
